The Craft

What is Cosmetic Tattooing?

Also known as Micro-pigmentation or Semi-Permanent Makeup — a precise, medical-grade technique that implants pharmaceutical pigments into the dermal layer of the skin, creating natural-looking eyebrows, eyeliner and lips that last.

Semi-Permanent Makeup

Precision That Looks Like You

At V·ink, we implant the highest grade of pharmaceutical pigments into the superficial dermal layer of the skin using a very small, sterile needle. The result is the best natural-looking finish — whether that's fine hair strokes for eyebrows, a lash-defining eyeliner line, or a tinted lip blush.

The technique creates feathered or powder eyebrows, perfect eyeliner wings and sexy, smudge-proof lipstick that is always with you — without the morning routine.

The Process

Five Steps — Nothing Starts Until You Are Happy

Every V·ink appointment follows a mapped, consent-led process. Medical-grade pigments, sterile disposable instruments, and your design approved at every stage.

1

Consultation

Discuss your shape, colour and goals. Complete the Client Information & Consent Form.

2

Anaesthetic

A numbing cream is applied and left for approximately 30 minutes to ensure your comfort throughout.

3

Mapping & Design

Valeria maps and measures your bone structure, designs the shape, and both of you approve before proceeding.

4

Colour Choice

Pigment is precisely matched to your skin tone and natural hair colour for the most natural healed result.

5

Cosmetic Tattoo

Medical-grade pigment is implanted with a sterile, disposable micro-needle — precise, gentle, and professional.

Is It Right For You?

Who is Cosmetic Tattooing For?

Cosmetic tattooing is for anyone who wants to wake up ready — whatever their reason.

Sparse or Patchy Brows

Fill in naturally sparse, patchy, uneven or over-plucked eyebrows with perfectly shaped, natural-looking results.

Active Lifestyles

For people who love exercise — no more panda eyes or smudged brows after a workout or swim.

Busy Mornings

Busy schedules and early morning starts — wake up with your look already done.

Alopecia or Chemotherapy

For those who have lost brow or lash hair due to Alopecia or Chemotherapy, cosmetic tattooing can restore confidence. V·ink offers compassionate support — please call to discuss.

Accessibility

For those who are visually or physically impaired and find applying makeup difficult or impossible.

Naturally Pale or Uneven Lips

Correct naturally uneven lip lines or restore colour to naturally pale lips — without fillers.

Makeup Allergies

For those who are allergic to traditional makeup and cannot wear conventional products on their skin.

Correct Asymmetry or Scarring

Cosmetic tattooing can help correct facial asymmetries or reduce the visual impact of scarring.

Look Your Best, Always

Simply want to look your best — morning, noon and night — without the daily effort of applying makeup.

Colour Maintenance

Keeping Your Results Looking Their Best

Semi-permanent makeup naturally softens over time. A colour maintenance appointment refreshes your results and keeps the pigment looking vibrant and true.

A Colour Maintenance every 6 to 18 months from your last treatment is recommended to keep your permanent makeup looking at its best. At the very least, Valeria suggests that her clients have a refresh treatment every year.
